LEGO Ideas 21319 Friends Central Perk Building Kit Review - Can you bring back the atmosphere of old times?
I'm not the biggest friends fanatic in the world, however, I find the kit interesting. The box also has a unique appearance and has the original friends logo on top, as was the case in the series. The set is located in the middle, and at the bottom of the box the minifigures are displayed in a wide band. On the other side you can see the game features, but there's not really much in it, because it's less designed for gaming, more for adult fans.
Background information about the series at the beginning of the assembly guide, and a separate description of each character. According to the original idea of the show's creators, the main love affair was not between Rachel and Ross, but between Monica and Joey. As a result, many references/flashbacks to what happened before the series. The theme song for the series from I'll Be There for You from The Rembrands became a huge hit after a Nashville presenter cut a three-minute song from the 45-second theme song, and played it several times on the radio. Under pressure from the band's record label, has reached number 17 on the Us Billboard magazine chart.
The kit is 1070 pieces, does not contain more complex elements so it takes about 2-3 hours to complete. A total of 7 minfigures arrive on set including 6 pieces of the main characters (Rachel, Ross, Joey, Phoebe, Monica, Chandler) and bartender Günther. The main attraction itself is the central perk, the café that the creator very well done with lots of details. On the left price table with the names of drinks, the wall consists of brown brick elements and plain Lego elements.
Inside the bar there is a coffee machine, a counter, a cash register, and a small cup cake. What I first noticed was the service arrow on top, which shows that there's service there. In front of the bar, there is a removable carpeted area, which is an interesting and practical solution. The front door can be opened, and in front of him is the stage where Phoebe usually performs to sing.
At the front is the iconic sofa with a table over it with a newspaper that reads "LEGO news the greatest hero ever!". Next to it are two chairs and an armchair where we can comfortably plant the figures, where the characters practically lived their daily lives in 60-70% of the series. From the outside, we get a small pavement detail and a windowed section with the inscription central perk. I would definitely recommend it to those who love the show because humour can be a sweet nostalgia factor for them.
