Which One Is Better? Lego Technic Bugatti Chiron VS Porsche 911 GT3

The Life Of Lego's
Receiving Lego’s for any reason has been a life long joy for millions of children for decades. There is nothing more fun than sitting around on a rainy day, eating cookies, and putting together some beautiful masterpiece that is made up of the snap-together blocks. They came in several different shapes and sizes for several different age groups that still love the Lego world to this very day.

As the years rolled by with these particular toys, it was obvious that they do require a certain level of skill to build certain things with them. The main thing about these locking blocks is the fact that they are not like most toys, even in today’s modern age. Lego’s are skill and intellect building toys that nurture a child’s intelligence and creativity with a very hands on approach. From early childhood development to the full blown competitions on television, Lego’s have left a very huge and impressive mark on people from all over the world.

As Lego and their products make the leap forward into game systems, they have also embarked into some more challenging territory that will intrigue and inspire adults to indulge in this favorite past-time. Now, instead of creating simple blocks that lock together to form whatever the imagination can come up with, Lego’s have changed things up.

They now produce blocks that are pre-shaped to specific sizes and dimensions for building some very high-end model cars. Two in particular, the LEGO Technic Bugatti Chiron and the LEGO Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS, are at the top of the line.
The nostalgia of model building combined with Lego’s notorious sturdy brand gives a good reason to stop and check out these two products. There are several questions that come to mind when considering these two beauties that are intended for adult collectors and future engineers.

How difficult are they to build?
Will they come apart like typical Lego’s?
Do they need to be glued or is the snap together strong enough to hold up?
Are the pieces pre-painted or does the builder have to give the car it’s colors and designs?
How much do they cost?
Is the quality of the product worth the cost?
Is the Bugatti Chiron or the Porsche 911 GT3 RS a better buy?

 LEGO Technic Bugatti Chiron

The LEGO Technic Bugatti Chiron is a recreation of the actual car. The car is 1:8 scale with dimensions measuring at just a bit over 5 inches tall, 22 inches long, and 9 inches wide.

The car includes 3599 pieces that are a classic duo-tone blue, with an active rear wing, a paddle shift gear, eight speed gear box, a W16 engine, steering wheel, and spoked rims with suspension. The pieces are interchangeable with other Lego Technic or Lego Construction sets so the playtime can carry on and the builder can customize their car any way they want to. The builder can build the car, break it down and play some more, or put it all together and leave it on display. Glue is not necessary, however, some people do enjoy the security of knowing the pieces will not come apart.

The price of the Bugatti Chiron is $442.99. It can be paid all at once or in monthly installments of $73.83 for 6 months.

LEGO Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS

The LEGO Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS is also a recreation of the actual car. It is 1:8 scale with dimensions of 6 inches tall, 22 inches long, and 9 inches wide.
The kit has 2704 pieces that are the popular true-to-life orange and red suspension springs, flat 6 engine, headlights & taillights, and low profile tires of the real car. This model is also interchangeable with other Lego Technic or Construction sets for longer playtime and customization.
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS can be purchased for $639 or paid for in 12 monthly installments of $53.25.

The Tally Is In
The Bugatti Chiron and the Porsche 911 GT3 RS are both very sharp and intense designs that are fashioned after the cars they are replicas of. Either one of these choices would be a wonderful addition to any collector’s display case, or a nice set to build over and over with any number of customizations.

Both of these models are made of the same from a very strong plastic that their Lego predecessors were made of called acrylonitrile butadiene styrene. This is a hard plastic that is durable, resilient, and long lasting.

The decision of which model would be the best buy is a difficult call to make. Both of them are perfect replicas of the car they are designed after, right down to the engines and wheel spokes. They both also come with a special collectors’ history book that gives the history and background of each car and the chronicles of Lego Technic.
The only real difference in these cars other than their make and model, is the price. The Bugatti Chiron is $442.99, which is almost $200 cheaper than the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. However, if the car is being purchased by the month rather than being paid for straight out, the $53.25 monthly installments of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS are about $20 cheaper than the Bugatti Chiron.
In reality, the difficult choice between these two Lego Technic Model Cars comes down to only one real question:

Which one do you, the collector, really want to add to your collection?
The Bugatti Chiron Or the Porsche 911 GT3 RS?

There is no real wrong answer, and no right one either. It is more about personal preference of design and style. Either one of these Lego Technic models would fit right in with any Lego collection display, or offer hours and hours of amazing playtime doing what Lego lovers do best- Building, tearing it apart, redesigning, and building some more.

Whatever the builder decides to buy is sure to keep them entertained and busy for hours. Although these cars are easy to build, they will present a fun challenge that Lego has always seemed to inspire amongst their buyers.

It is highly likely that a true collector will make one choice- to have both. Buy one first, and then the other. Or possibly, if it is affordable to their budget, both the LEGO Technic Bugatti Chiron and the LEGO Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS may be a better choice.
